Inspired by the emotional intensity of Mark Rothko, the textural richness of Cy Twombly, and the vivid palettes of Fauvism. Nature — especially water and light — is a constant source of energy in her work.
Mona works primarily in oil on canvas, building up thick impasto layers over days and weeks. She often begins with an intuitive underpainting before refining the composition through multiple sessions.
Has exhibited across Europe and North America — from solo shows in Bucharest and Berlin to group exhibitions in New York and Amsterdam. Her work has been featured in several international art publications.
Recipient of the Young European Artists Award (2019) and a finalist in the International Abstract Art Prize (2022). Her work is held in private collections across 12 countries.
